EARTH ALLIANCE
EA Phalanx Battleship [Alpha] -- [Updated 5/29/01]
EA Phalanx Battleship [Delta] -- [Added 5/29/01]
At the height of the Dilgar Invasion EarthForce realized that the Nova
Dreadnoughts were too specialized for modern high intensity combat
situations. Too many Novas were lost when their escorting fighters were
drawn away or destroyed. Mainly because the slow recharge rate of the Medium
Lasers left them helpless against fast moving enemy ships and fighters.
After a rapid RFP process a new ship capable of engaging a Mishakur in a toe
to toe slugging match with or without it's fighters or other support. Using
both the latest technology and the most tried and true weapons, the Phalanx
was the most flexibly armed ship the EA had ever even considered building.
With the rapid pace of the Dilgar collapse after EF intervention in the war,
neither of the first two ships (Phalanx and Hood) were completed in time to
see action. The other 6 keels laid down, in various stages of construction,
were set aside until EF could decide whether or not to purchase them.
One of these hulls, the Uganda, was completed in 2244 as a Beta model. This
model basically revamped the entire weapons complement. The Plasma weapons
were replaced with Med Pulse Cannons and the Particle Cannons with Heavy
Pulse Cannon.

You'll need one Hyperion and one Poseidon kit as well as 2 long barreled
laser/pulse arrays as well as a couple of small turrets.
STEP 1) cut the Hyperion hull in half right behind the control tower/gun
turrets, BE VERY CAREFUL not to damage the girder section under the shuttle
bay. Clip off the small section with all the horizontal ridges.
STEP 2) build the front hull and the engine pod of the Poseidon, but do not
attach any of the turrets.
STEP 3) glue the front hull of the Hyperion to the _back_ of the Poseidon's
front hull. The retro thrusters of the Poseidon should be on the bottom.
STEP 4) glue the engine pod of the Poseidon to the Hyperion rear hull were
you would usually attach the thrusters.
STEP 5) the upper and lower supports on the Hyperion rear hull are then glued
onto the front half, into the center shuttle bay openings.
STEP 6) glue the two LPAs to the sides of the Poseidon front hull, in about
the middle, facing forward. Add additional turrets to taste.

EA Omega Destroyer [Delta model] -- [Added 4/03/01]
Following the succes of the Command variant Omega Destroyer, EarthForce
commisioned the Omega-Delta. The flexibility of the Laser/Pulse Arrays more
than make up for any additional maintenance needs.
So far there are only a few Deltas in service, but following glowing trials
and even a few combat situations (still classified) this model should become
increasingly common over the next few years.
(This ship is a really effective addition to the OMEGA family. The Med Laser
mode on the arrays gives the same range as a Hvy Pulse (-1 per 2 hexes) but
the rapid recharge of the Med Pulse mode increases firepower when the range
has closed as well as better AAA capabilities.)
EA Hyperion Scout Cruiser -- [Added 4/03/01]
During the R&D boom of the Dilgar War, EarthForce commisioned a new scout
cruiser suitable for combat fleet support. The chosen design was simply an
upgrade of the Hyperion Heavy Cruiser as this meant ships would be ready in a
minimum amount of time. The HyperScout was designed to be more surviable in
the fighter heavy battlespace of the 23rd century, it also moved the entire
ELINT array into a single primary system. Even though the first ship was not
ready in time to serve in the war, the HyperScout is a popular and effective
design. Its improved ELINT systems are still weak compared to the ships of
the other major powers. This SCS is for the final post-war update on this
hull, staying in step with the Hyperion-Theta.
EA Centaur Attack Frigate -- [Updated 3/27/01]
The Centaur class Frigate is designed to provide maximum support in both line
and escort missions. These ships are often paired with the aging Artemis
class heavy frigates in high speed hunter killer groups. The heavy missile
load provides superior stand-off range capability with the forward laser
battery used mainly to close the deal.
EA Phoenix Missile Cruiser -- [Added 3/26/01]
After the Earth-Minbari War EarthForce began a rebuilding program centered on
the new Omega class. During the years it took to get the destroyers up and
running the EA built updated versions of the prewar designs of ships such as
the Hyperion, Olympus and Sagittarius. Since none of the Sagittarius class
missile cruisers had survived the war, EF decides to rename the new ships as
the Phoenix class Missile Cruiser. Developments in weapons technology
allowed the Sagittarius hull to upgraded with the new MkII Interceptors as
well as additional antifighters weapons. Some of the other perceived
weaknesses in the Sagittarius where glossed over by the application of
heavier armor to several critical systems.
EA Nova-Delta Dreadnought -- [Added 3/26/01]
The greatest weaknesses of the Nova class Dreadnoughts are its relatively
short range and slow rate of fire. The Delta modifications is an attempt to
rectify both of these problems as well as giving the old ships a little more
flexibility. The two broadside Laser/Pulse Arrays are replaced with Class-R
missile racks that can be loaded with any of the missiles in the EA
inventory. Captain's of Nova-Ds are especially fond of the Sony SSM-236ER-2
"Long Lance" long range anti-ship missile. (four or more of these are well
worth the points)
NARN REGIME
Narn G'Keth Heavy Cruiser -- [Added 4/07/01]
The G'Keth class heavy cruiser was designed to take advantage of the ease of
construction of the T'Loth style of ship. With a pair of Heavy Lasers and
two Ion Torpedoes for long range work, and room for 18 fighters in its
shuttle bay the G'Keth has excellent firepower during the merge. The two
Heavy Plasma Cannon allow the G'Keth to tear apart any enemy ship that
survives to close the range. While not quite as maneuverable as the G'Quan
series of cruisers the G'Keth's heavier firepower and fighter capacity more
than makes up for that deficiency
(this SCS is based on a ship I saw on Hyperion's web page
(http://hyperion.mystarship.com/tvar.htm). I liked the look of the
conversion so I came up with this ship.)
UPDATED PHOTON TORPEDO RULES
When a Photon torpedo strikes a ship with active EM, Gravitic or Deflector
shields in that arc, damage is resolved as a FLASH mode weapon. The E-web on
Interceptor equipped ships does not count as shielding for this purpose. If
the target is unshielded, either in that arc or altogether, the damage is
resolved in as a STANDARD mode attack.

UNITED FEDERATION OF PLANETS
UFP Northhampton Mk III. Class X Frigate -- [Updated 2/10/01]
The Frigate is used as the rapid response ship by Starfleet, as well as an
important supplement to the Cruiser classes in time of war. The Northhampton
was designed by and is built in the Federation shipyards orbiting Mars.
These ships mount the most powerful phasers in the UFP arsenal, and have
three medium photon torpedoes firing forward for an impressive offensive
punch. The Northhampton class also carries 220 Starfleet marines for landing
and boarding operations.
UFP Constitution Mk III. Class XI Cruiser -- [Updated 2/11/01]
C'mon, do I really need to say anything about these ships? ;-)
UFP Enterprise Class XI Cruiser -- [Updated 2/11/01]
The newest and most powerful cruiser in Starfleet's inventory.
Lacking only in rearward firepower this Cruiser can defeat nearly any other
ship with ease.
UFP Andor Class IX Missile Cruiser -- [Updated 2/11/01]
The ultimate torpedo boat. The Andor class missile cruiser is,
unsurprisingly, designed and built by the Andorians. With the ability to
crush a target with up to 6 Photons, the Andor can deliver the decisive blow
in nearly any battle. The classes one weakness is its single phaser bank.
This can make the ship vulnerable to attach from large numbers of small
attackers.
UFP Larson Class VII Destroyer -- [Updated 2/11/01]
The Larson class destroyer has been one of the most successful ship classes
in UFP history. Beginning with the Four Years War and serving thru the
current day, these quick little ships carry a heavy punch.
UFP Reliant Class XI Cruiser -- [Updated 2/11/01]
The Reliant is an upgrade of the old Anton class in the same way the
Enterprise is an upgraded Constitution class. These vessels serve the same
role as the heavier cruisers, exploration and combat, and has nearly the same
firepower.
UFP Scorpio Mk1. Class II Corvette
KLINGON EMPIRE
Klingon L2-4A Komo Val Class XIII Battleship -- [New 6/27/01]
The Klingon's built this ship to remain competitive with the newer, larger
Federation and Romulan warships. The Ever-Victorious is more than capable of
crushing any cruiser and should be treated with extreme caution even by
captains of Excelsior battleships.
Klingon D-7M K't'inga Class IX Cruiser -- [Updated 2/11/01]
When you say Klingon ship you think D-7. Agile, dangerous and and easily the
most common Klingon warship. A wolfpack of 3 of these ships is every lone
starship captain's nightmare.
Klingon D-18B Lara'atan Destroyer -- [Updated 2/11/01]
The workhorse destroyer of the Klingon fleet. The D-18B can hold its own
against even some of the lighter cruisers of the UFP and Romulan navies.
Klingon D-20D Death Rite Cruiser -- [Updated 2/11/01]
The D-20 class of cruiser was built to both supplement and replace the D-7s.
Though a slightly lighter ship the D-20 has heavier shielding and better all
around firepower. Many a captain has been surprised by the heavy, aft firing
KD-8 disruptor. The D-20 has never quite lived up to more popular D-7s in
the minds of the Klingon Admiralty.
Klingon K-22B D'Gavama Class V Scout -- [Updated 2/11/01]
The ship the Romulans wish they had never parted with. These fast little
scouts are among the first Klingon ships to be equipped with a cloaking
device.
ROMULAN STAR EMPIRE
Romulan V-7t1 (Whitewind) Cruiser -- [Updated 2/11/01]
Romulan V-7t3 Aye Mosaram (Whitewind) Cruiser -- [Updated 2/11/01]
This class of Romulan cruisers is probably one of their most successful.
With heavy firepower and a long cruising range the ships perform the role
filled by the D-7 in the Klingon fleet. The type 3 replaces the RPL-2 plasma
launcher with 3 (2 fwd, 1 aft) photon torpedoes and a forward firing RB-9
disruptor bank. These modifications make an already dangerous ship even more
of a threat.
Romulan V-30 Vas'Deletham (Winged Defender) Cruiser -- [Updated 2/11/01]
The most powerful ship in the Romulan Navy. These ships are thought to even
be a match for the Federation's vaunted Enteprise class.
Romulan T-5 Ocala Sindari (Fire Swarm) Destroyer -- [Updated 2/11/01]
One of the modern generation of Romulan designs, the Fireswarm is a deadly
opponent with its 4 disruptor banks and forward firing photon torpedo tube.
One of these little ships is bad enough, but as the class name implies they
tend to operate in groups.
